It can be a one person job to put together, but I’m 70 and my daughter helped for first half of the assembly because all of the bending over, getting up and sitting down etc is hard on the old body.
The instructions are pictorial and luckily I’m cognitively able to understand. Some people would do better with written instructions. Luckily among the smaller less expensive pieces there would be one extra in case one was lost. There is one round long rod #13 that I couldn’t find in the pictorial instructions where it bolts on to and once the frame was put together I couldn’t find anywhere where it is supposed to be bolted on…so I’ve stored it. There is one round long rod #13 that I couldn’t find in the pictorial instructions where it bolts on to and once the frame was put together I couldn’t find anywhere where it is supposed to be bolted on…so I’ve stored it. One piece of advice, don’t tighten the frame middle bars together completely in order for the cross rods (#16 & 17) to fit in their sleeves. The cross rods (which form the platform for the mattress) are too long by an 1/8” or so if the middle frame bolts are completely screwed in when you try to fit them. It took me a while to figure this out & had to back out those 4 bolts by almost a quarter of an inch, then fit the rods in & then tighten the bolts again. Once, put together it’s a tight unit and hopefully will stay tight over the years. Luckily the LED light strip came on as soon as I installed it because I can’t get the remote (mode or colour settings) to work. I’m too busy to figure it out now. It defaults to a nice steady mode blue. I recommend sticking the light strip across the back of the headboard shelf not along the front. Place your bed, if possible, near to an electric outlet so the electricity cord for the plug-in feature will reach. I’d love it if someone could get back to me with where the long round rod gets screwed in. It has to bolt holes at the ends so it spans the width of the frame somewhere. I would also recommend getting an allen wrench that fits and is easier to turn because the one provided is barely useful. In the photo there is a room divider screen placed behind the headboard, it doesn’t come with the bed platform. I haven’t put my mattress on it yet so I hope it fits nicely.
